Florina L. Apolinar Claudio | PhD, LMFT (she/her)

Florina works at providing a setting in which clients can feel seen, heard, and understood. In an environment that is validating and empathetic, she helps clients identify how they contribute to unproductive dynamics and assist them in creating healthier personal and relationship patterns. Florina guides clients in achieving their goals by teaching coping strategies, boundary-setting, and implementing interventions that create change. Florina is also sensitive to cultural communities, familial structures, beliefs, and values that impact clients’ lives.

Florina’s credentials involve receiving her degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Syracuse University and her Ph.D. in Couple and Family Therapy from Drexel University. She is a member of American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT), New England Association for Family and Systemic Therapy (NEAFAST), and International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health (ISSWSH). Florina has been published in the Journal of Family Psychotherapy, Journal of Feminist Family Therapy, The American Journal of Family Therapy, Journal of Marital Family Therapy, and Alcoholism Treatment QuarterlyFlorina has also presented at national and international conferences.
